Why Do I Own Motor Liq Company.

by Darrell Holmes
(Ca.)

I bought 535 shares of GM for about $1,000.00 when they were at the low point last year. I am not someone who rides the market or really understands the market. My question is I have noticed that my stock GM is now called Motor Liq. com. what does that mean? I did not trade my stock, just hanging on to it for their come back which is happening this week. Is my stock no good anymore even though I didn't sell it? And is it not considered GM stock?

Basically there is now, “New GM” and Motor Liquidation Company. They are each part of the old GM and as a former stock holder of GM you now own stock in Motor Liquidation Company.

Here is some more on the topic if you are interested in it. https://www.motorsliquidation.com
