What would my stock be worth after Buy outs

If you own stock in company A at $5 per share and it is bought out by company B whos shares are $26. per share what would my stock be worth.

It is really on a case by case situation. Company B might agree to pay $6 per share of company A in which case you would get $6 for every share that you own and the stock would disappear. Or the stock might be fused with the new company. It depends on the deal that they made.

But no matter what happens you should wind up with roughly what your shares were already worth.
