What are the other ways to preserve the value of my 403B funds when U.S. dollars become weaker?

by Simon
(Chicago)

I have 403B retirement fund and want to avoid loss due to devalue of U.S. dollars in the world market. Will it be wise to transfer some funds from U.S. funds to international funds such as China, Australia, Canada...etc that their currencies are increasing in value? What are the other ways to preserve the value of my 403B funds when U.S. dollars become weaker?

One way that you can hedge against inflation would be to invest into commodities. For example GLD is an ETF that tracks gold. Gold is always going to be valuable even if the dollar goes down the drain. Same thing goes with silver, copper, etc.
