The Vice Fund

The vice fund is a mutual fund that invest primarily in sinful stocks, or stocks that are considered morally irresponsible. These stocks include such companies as alcohol, tobacco, weapons, gambling, and sex related.

The idea behind this fund is that these stocks have a decent demand behind them that is triggered by human nature, therefore the leading companies in this field should provide a decent return to their shareholders.

That idea is strengthened by the fact that these funds tend to fare better than most funds during bears markets. And since the Vice Fund (VICEX) was made in 2002 it has gone up 39.5% compared to the SPY which has gone up 10.37% in the same time period.

In the end it is up to each individual to decide if they would like to invest in these funds or not.
