where is a good place to get stock quotes, also on the bid and ask size the no# shown is that all the stock you can buy? and how much does the no# represent
The best place to get recent stock quotes is normally through your broker, they will usually have the most high tech equipment and give you the most up to date quotes around.
As far as the numbers next to the bid and ask price that represents the number of trades open.
The ask price is the amount people are willing to sell their stock for, if there is 1000 after that number that means there are 1000 limit orders open willing to sell at that price or better.
The bid price is the price buyers are willing to pay, the number after the bid price is the number of orders that are willing to buy the stock at that price or better.
Note Orders = Positions not shares.
You can always buy or sell as many shares as you want. And as long as you are not buying and selling millions of shares of stock and as long as there is enough trading volume for the stock you shouldn't run into any problems.
