Investing goals and trading goals are essential to good trading. If you do not know where you are going you will not know how to get there.

This is why every trader needs to think about what they plan on accomplishing. Do you want to get rich trading, retire, get an income from trading, or maybe just grow your account at a steady rate? What is it that you want to get out of the stock market?

You may also want to shoot for a certaint return. Maybe you want to make 20% off of your money this year, maybe more.

Regardless of what your goals are you need to wright them down and develop strategies to reach them. Once more you need to be open with your goals, In fact tell anyone who asks what you plan to accomplish. This will force you to actually push forward. Think about it if you tell everyone you are going to do something you will be more inclined to actually do it.

Not only that but you will start to believe that you can trade or invest which is important. Believeing in yourself and your strategy is a big step when in comes to your money.
