I have a few shares in a company that recently filed Chapter 11. the stock is no longer trading. Can it ever be traded again, Is my stock worth anything, should I hold on to it for now or is it to paper the bedroom?

If you own a stock in a company that has just filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy there are many different possibilities.

Most likely when the company emerges out of bankruptcy their stock will reappear and you will own some of that new stock. That would be the best case scenario.

However bankruptcy is complicated and the court may decide that shareholders do not get anything, and hence your share may become worthless.
Realize that stock holders are last on the list so it really depends on how bad of shape the company is in and what the courts say.

So, good luck. I hope it does work out fine in the end. But only time will tell.
