Captain Dan

Question: What was the lowest Dow Jones daily closing figure since the election of 2008, and where could I see a week by week or month by month chart showing figures since that time to the present?

Answer: The lowest close in the Dow Jones since the 2008 election was $6,625. It occured on 3/9/2009. I have a long term graph of the Dow on http://www.stocks-simplified.com/Dow-Jones-History.html

Ok, so how can you find a chart. Well the easiest way is to look at a Yahoo Finance Dow Chart This way you can enter specific dates.

If you want to get into something a little more advanced you have to find a service that specializes in stock charts.

Stockcharts.com and bigcharts.com are suppose to be pretty good.

The one I use is called prophet charts which you can access either by going to prophet.net and pay to use it or open up an account with thinkorswim.

I'm sure there are plenty of others out there, you just have to search for them.
