Buying and selling the same stock in the same day.

Good Day ~

If I purchased a stock in the morning and sell it the same day is this one trade or two trades?

If I have a cash account and buy and sell two different stocks in the same day is this considered two trades?

In a five day rolling period how many trades can Make on
a cash account?

My confusion is - Yesterday I purchased a stock and sold it in the same day. I purchased stock number two yesterday and sold it also in the same day. And This morning purchased another stock. How many total trades have I made. Would it be three or 5 trades?

Thank You

Anytime you buy or sell something you are making a trade. If you buy a stock during the day you have made 1 trade. If you sell it an hour later you have made your second trade.

You can make as many trades as you want in a cash account unless your broker has some rules in place limiting it, just remember that every transaction you make is a trade and you have to pay commission for it.
