What is the NASDAQ market?




The NASDAQ market stands for (national Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotation System). It is the largest market in the US with 3,200 different stocks.

NASDAQ has a large variety of symbols such as the NASDAQ 100, NASDAQ china, excreta. These indices are diversified and are suppose to represent of the market.



Now why should you care about the NASDAQ? It will help give you a clue to what will happen in the in the stock market. If the NASDAQ is in a big uptrend it may indicate that you should be looking for more bullish trades then bearish. Likewise if the index is in a downtrend it may be an indicator that you should be looking for more bearish trades then bullish.

Generally trading a large percentage of your portfolio against what the NASDAQ is doing can be dangerous to your account.
